Highland Park – Cask Strength Release No. 1

This is the first Cask Strength Release from Highland Park, a single malt bottled without chill-filtering and with its natural colour intact. It was matured mainly in sherry-seasoned American oak casks of different ages, chosen by Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion, and bottled directly from the cask. The nose is sweet and smoky, with violets, ripe vanilla pods and aromatic peat smoke. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with soft toffee, heather honey, freshly grated nutmeg and ripe citrus fruit. It finishes with the spiced character of crème brûlée.
