This is the second release in Highland Park's cask strength series, a single malt from Orkney bottled at 63.9% ABV. It was matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak, with a small share of former bourbon casks. It is golden in colour and is not chill-filtered.
The nose offers rose petals, pear, coconut and layers of peat smoke. On the palate, sweet, juicy fruit meets rich spice and a hint of smoke. The finish is long, with fruit, salty notes and peat smoke reinforcing one another.
