Highland Park – Heather Cask Strength (70cl, 63.6%)

Highland Park Heather is a limited single malt that opens the revived Cask Strength range. It is made only from barley smoked with Orkney peat, and the heather-rich peat from Hobbister Moor gives a floral, perfumed smoke. It matures in first-fill sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks and in selected refill casks, and is bottled at a natural cask strength of 63.6% in a 70cl bottle, without added colour or chill-filtration. The nose brings campfire smoke, vanilla pod, brandy butter, sherry, dried fruit and heather. The palate is rich and oily, with creamy marshmallow, macadamia, peppery spice and floral smoke. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla sweetness, perfumed smoke and lingering spice.
