Highland Park – Sea of Orkney 16 Years Old (70cl, 44.5%)

This is Sea of Orkney, a sixteen-year-old single malt from Highland Park, whose label gives its founding as 1798. It is bottled at 44.5% in a 70cl bottle and is labelled spicy and elegant. A gentle smokiness comes from the heather peat of Orkney. The nose is a warm citrus aroma. On the palate there is vanilla and nutmeg with that soft smoke. The finish is sweet and nutty, with toasted almonds and brown sugar.
