Highland Park Viking Honour 12 Year Old is an Orkney single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle with natural colour. It is made at one of Scotland's northernmost distilleries, founded in 1798 by Magnus Eunson.
A high proportion of the whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks. The house style sets gentle smoke and rich malt against sweet heather honey.
The nose has heather honey, light peat and dried herbs. The palate is full-bodied, with layered sweetness, spice and lingering smoke. The finish is soft and spiced, with oak, dried fruit and heathery peat.
