Hyde No. 6 Presidents Reserve is an Irish whiskey named for Douglas Hyde, the first President of Ireland, who was sworn into office on 26th June 1938. It is a limited small batch bottling. The whiskey marries eight-year-old single grain with much older reserve single malt, and the two are brought together in vintage Spanish oloroso sherry casks. The aroma is full-bodied and malty, with sweet, nutty vanilla and nutmeg. The palate is creamy, with spicy oak tannins, leading to a smooth, buttery finish.
