J.P. Wiser's Triple Barrel 10 Year Old Canadian Whisky (70cl, 40%)

J.P. Wiser's Triple Barrel is a ten-year-old Canadian whisky from Hiram Walker & Sons in Windsor, Ontario. It is an original bottling at 40%, in a 70cl bottle. Its name refers to the three cask types used over the full decade of maturation: new white oak, ex-bourbon and used Canadian whisky casks. It is not smoky. It is chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose is strong yet soft, with toffee, fruit bread, apple and floral notes. The palate is soft, lightly nutty and peppery, with vanilla, caramel and peppermint. The finish is gentle and long, with rye and a little spice.
