Jack Daniel's 10 Year is a Tennessee whiskey matured for a decade and bottled at 48.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg from 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye.
The spirit is filtered through maple charcoal and then matured in new charred American oak. For this release, barrels start on the upper floors of the barrelhouse and are later moved to lower ricks.
The nose shows dry fig, raisin, banana, caramel and fudge, with oak beneath. The palate has warm oak, butterscotch, cherry and stewed fig. The finish is long, with baking spice, tobacco leaf and a trace of smoke.
