Jack Daniel's 14 Year Old is a Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg. This is Batch 1, the first release in the distillery's Aged Series. It is made from a mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, and was matured for 14 years in American oak.
It is bottled at its natural barrel proof of 126.3 proof (63.15% ABV), in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is sweet bakery spice, caramelised brown sugar, dried fruit and vanilla. The palate brings creamy butterscotch, leather, tobacco and seasoned oak. The finish is long, with clove, sweet tobacco and oak.
