Jack Daniel's Bonded Rye Whiskey (70cl, 50%)

This is a Bottled in Bond Tennessee rye from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg. It is made from a mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley, the first new grain bill the distillery has introduced since 1866. As a bonded whiskey it comes from a single distillery and a single distilling season, spends at least four years in a bonded warehouse and is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). It is made with the Lincoln County Process of charcoal mellowing. The nose is grain-forward and spicy, with dried fruit, toasted oak and cinnamon. The palate brings rye, baking spices and dried fruit, and the finish carries rye spice, black pepper and clean oak.
