Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 40% ABV, here in a 1.75 litre bottle. It is made at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, which was established in 1866.
The whiskey is made by sour mash fermentation and copper still distillation, mellowed through charcoal by the Lincoln County Process and aged in new charred American oak. The mash bill is 80% corn, 12% rye and 8% malted barley.
The nose is caramel, vanilla and toasted oak with corn sweetness. On the palate it is smooth, with caramel, brown sugar, vanilla and light wood spice. The finish is warm and medium, with caramel and vanilla lingering.
