A Tennessee straight rye whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, bottled from a single barrel at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley.
It is made with the Lincoln County Process, charcoal mellowing before the spirit goes into barrel, applied here to a high-rye grain bill.
The nose brings rye spice, black pepper and grain with caramel, vanilla and a touch of charcoal. The palate is led by cinnamon, pepper and grain, balanced by caramel sweetness. The finish is medium to long, with rye spice and smooth oak.
