Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select (75cl, 47%)

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select is a Tennessee whiskey bottled from one barrel, chosen by the distillery's tasting panel. It is made with the Lincoln County Process at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, from a mash bill of 80% corn, 12% rye and 8% malted barley, and bottled at 47% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The barrels are typically matured for around seven years in new charred American oak on the upper floors of the barrel house. The label gives the barrel number, rack number and barrel date, so each bottle can be traced to its own cask. The nose offers caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and banana. On the palate come brown sugar, caramel, charred oak, vanilla and light fruit, followed by a long, warm finish of caramel and oak.
