Journeyman Conor Daly 500 is a limited-edition organic-grain bourbon from Three Oaks, Michigan, bottled at 45.5% in a 750ml bottle. It is a collaboration between Journeyman Distillery and IndyCar driver Conor Daly, made with the Indianapolis 500 in mind.
All the grain is certified organic. The bourbon is distilled in copper pot stills and aged in new charred American oak barrels.
The nose offers caramel, toasted oak, vanilla and dried corn husk, with cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate starts with butterscotch and honey, then turns to cracked black pepper and cinnamon bark over a firm grain backbone. The finish keeps the toasted oak and caramel, with baking spice and gentle pepper warmth.
