Fuji Single Grain is a Japanese grain whisky from Kirin, made at the Mt. Fuji Distillery in 46% ABV and a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of three grain whiskies, each distilled by a different method and each with its own flavour profile. Together they give a whisky described as delicately fruity, mellow and multi-layered. The nose brings poached pear, a rustic fruit tart, Cognac and marron glacé, with red berries when water is added. The palate is smooth, with orange marmalade, raspberry jam, rye spice and bitter chocolate. The finish is mellow and gently sweet, with a touch of exotic incense.
