Laphroaig – 10 Year Old Cask Masters Distiller's Cut (1st Fill Oloroso) (70cl, 56.1%)

This is Laphroaig 10 Year Old, an Islay single malt bottled in the Distiller's Cut series from Cask Masters. The whisky was distilled on 22 September 2015 and matured for ten years in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. It was bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.1%, and the release runs to 351 bottles. The Oloroso cask brings darker fruit, spice and sweetness alongside Laphroaig's peat smoke, and has softened the stronger edges of the spirit while the Islay character remains clear.
