This is a single cask Laphroaig, Cask #5944, bottled at 56.1% ABV after 13 years in wood. The cask was filled in 2011 and is an Amontillado sherry cask, which adds a nutty richness to the Islay peat.
The whisky was hand filled, with 300 bottles in total. It is the first of four releases in the Distillery Team Sherry Series 2024.
It shows the coastal smoke and medicinal depth that Laphroaig is known for.
