Laphroaig Lore is a malt whisky from the Islay distillery, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is described as the richest Laphroaig malt to date, a reference mainly to its particular cask make-up.
The whisky is assembled from first-fill sherry casks and quarter casks, which are a quarter of the size of a normal cask. Distillery manager John Campbell created it. The name Lore points to knowledge handed down through generations at distilleries with a history like Laphroaig's.
