Laphroaig PX Cask is an Islay single malt bottled at 48% in a one litre bottle. It first appeared in travel retail.
The whisky was matured in three types of cask in turn: an American oak bourbon cask, a quarter cask, which is a quarter of the size of a traditional cask, and a large Pedro Ximenez sherry cask.
The combination joins the smokiness of classic Laphroaig with the sweetness of wine maturation, and each cask left its mark on the whisky.
