Laphroaig – Select Cask (70cl)

Laphroaig Select Cask is a peated single malt from the distillery on the southern coast of Islay, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from whisky matured in a mix of casks: Oloroso sherry butts, American white oak, first-fill bourbon barrels, quarter casks and new European oak. The nose brings assertive peat smoke, iodine and sea spray, with vanilla and citrus zest. On the palate the peat sits alongside a creamy texture, medicinal herbs, green apple and toasted almond. The finish is long and warming, with the smoke fading to salinity and a touch of oak spice.
