Laphroaig – Triple Wood (1L)

Laphroaig Triple Wood is a peated whisky from the island of Islay, in Scotland, in a one-litre bottle. It is matured in three stages. The whisky rests first in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then moves to small American oak casks that previously held whisky, and finishes in European oak casks that held Oloroso sherry. The bourbon wood brings vanilla sweetness, while the sherry casks add dried fruit and spice. It is usually described as smoky and peaty, with sweeter, spicier notes from the wood and dried fruit.
