Mars Komagatake – Nature of Shinshu Kohiganzakura

Mars Komagatake Kohiganzakura is a Japanese single malt and the second whisky in the Nature of Shinshu series. It was released in 2016 in an outturn of 5,725 bottles. The whiskies were matured in old bourbon casks and then finished in wine casks from the distillery's own stock. The vatting combines 3-year-old malt whisky with malt of 20 years old. The name comes from a flower that grows around the distillery and is related to Japan's famous cherry trees.
