Mars Komagatake – Single Cask Heavily Peated Single Malt (70cl)

Mars Komagatake Single Cask Heavily Peated is a Japanese single malt whisky, in a 70cl bottle. Mars Shinshu runs the Mars distillery at Nagano, Komagatake, as well as the more recently opened Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima. The nose is vanilla and malty. On the palate, sweet vanilla and malt are rounded off by star anise and spicy pepper. The finish stays at the back of the tongue, with lingering salt and spice.
