Martin Miller's London Dry Gin (75cl, 40%)

Martin Miller's is an English London dry gin made at Langley Distillery from a wheat-based neutral spirit. Earthy botanicals, including juniper, coriander, angelica, orris, cassia and nutmeg, are distilled separately from citrus peels such as Seville orange, and the two are blended with a cucumber distillate. After distillation the gin is taken to Iceland and cut to 40% with glacial spring water. The nose shows lemon sherbet, candied citrus peel and floral notes, with juniper and a little pink peppercorn. On the palate juniper and citrus sit level, with lemongrass, cassia spice, rosewater and a fresh cucumber note. The finish is medium, clean and silky, with aniseed and citrus zest.
