Kurayoshi 12 Year Old is a blended malt from the Matsui Shuzou distillery in Japan's Tottori Prefecture. It combines malts sourced from Scotland with Japanese whisky and water filtered through volcanic rock. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The nose has flamed orange peel and lemongrass with a hint of rye bread dough. The palate begins with aromatic, floral barley, then develops a fruity core of apple and white grape. The finish brings lime, ginger and a whiff of smoke.
