First fill #4 char new oak barrel
This is a 6 year old Indiana bourbon from MGP, distilled in 2015 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as Coco' Nuts, cask code B7.9. It is a single cask release, one of 214 bottles from a first fill #4 char new oak barrel, in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley. Coconut is prominent on the nose, alongside cream, chocolate and flowering gorse. The palate has salted chocolate and hazelnut brownies, stem ginger and Moroccan spiced honey, creamy and sweet with a hint of spicy bitterness like a root beer barbecue sauce of sarsaparilla and liquorice root, with vanilla and molasses.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
