Islay Trilogy I is a 34 year old Islay blended malt from independent bottler Murray McDavid, one of three blends in its Mission Gold series. It combines single malts from Bowmore and Laphroaig and is bottled at a cask strength of 51.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured from 1988 to 2022, first in refill bourbon hogsheads and then in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask finish. It has no added colour and is not chill-filtered. Only 229 bottles were filled.
