Second heavy char barrel
This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Forester's 117 Series, bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 37.5cl bottle. It is a double-barrelled whiskey: the 1910 expression is aged for a further 24 months in a second, heavy char barrel. It is the first new whiskey from Old Forester's Master Taster Melissa Rift. The nose has gunpowder punch with raisin, dried cherries and cloves. The palate shows dark chocolate, dark brown sugar, cloves, hazelnuts and cocoa nibs, with a deep vanilla note and touches of black pepper, black tea and allspice. The very long finish brings dried strawberry, red fruits and a little greenery.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
