This is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Forester, bottled at 132 proof (66% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. The barrel was matured on Floor 7 of Warehouse H, and the bottling is a 2025 exclusive named for Slightly Toasted, a well-known whiskey bar in Chicago.
The nose shows warm caramel, red apples, browned butter and heavy toasted oak, with a sweet grape note after a few minutes. The palate is led by wood and spice: bright oak, Red Hot candies and cinnamon sticks, then red fruits and charred oak. The finish is very long, with anise, oak and baking spices that shift from cinnamon to clove.
