A single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Forester, hand-selected and bottled at full barrel strength of 131.5 proof, or 65.8% ABV. The barrel was kept on the sixth floor of Warehouse K.
The nose is floral, with honeysuckle, toasted oak, red fruit and pantry spices including Ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg and leather, plus cherry jam. The palate opens with crisp apple, then rich baklava and warm cinnamon spice. The finish is intense, with rye spice, white pepper and a little zesty citrus.
