Old Forester – Straight Bourbon 86 Proof (43%)

Old Forester Straight Bourbon 86 Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV). George Garvin Brown created Old Forester in 1870, and it is distilled and matured in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the only bourbon distilled and sold continuously by its founding family before, during and after Prohibition. The 86 proof expression arrived in 1959. The nose is citrus, tropical fruit and delicate flowers with pound cake sweetness, subtle clove and lightly toasted oak. The palate brings citrus peel and ripe pear with fresh mint and hints of clove. The finish is fresh spearmint, clove and warm toasted oak.
