Paul John Nirvana is an unpeated single malt from Goa, India, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from six-row barley grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, double distilled in copper pot stills and matured in American oak casks. Goa's hot, humid climate speeds up maturation. The nose is gentle, with honey, vanilla and tropical fruit, including banana and pineapple, plus a little spice. The palate is smooth and silky, with malted barley, caramel, fresh fruit and oak spice, and a hint of coconut and cinnamon. The finish is of medium length, with lingering sweetness, gentle spice and warmth.
