Peerless 10 Year is a barrel-proof Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 58.8% in a 750ml bottle without chill filtration. It was released as Henry Kraver's Old Reserve.
Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. distils, ages and bottles it in Louisville, using copper pot and column stills and a sweet mash, with each fermentation started fresh and no backset carried over. The bourbon spends ten years in new charred American oak barrels. It is the distillery's first age-statement bourbon since its revival.
The nose is pipe tobacco, candied peanuts and vanilla ice cream. The palate shows brownie edges, mocha, toffee, orange peel and fruit preserves, and the finish is of tobacco, charred applewood and black tea.
