Penelope Rose Cask Bourbon is a four-grain bourbon made from a blend of bourbons aged four to five years, distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is the first release in Penelope's Cooper Series.
The blend spends about four months finishing in French Grenache Rosé wine casks from the Southern Rhône, then is bottled at 47% ABV without chill-filtration.
The nose brings candied fruit, floral and herbal notes, vanilla and strawberry jam. The palate is soft and fruity, with strawberry cream, red currant, brown sugar and black cherry. The finish is of medium length, with a little spice, berry, cream and oak.
