Rebel Bourbon 100 Proof (70cl, 50%)

A straight bourbon from Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled at 50% ABV, which is 100 proof, in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The mash is wheated, made from corn, wheat and malt, with wheat taking the place of the rye often used as the spicing grain. The wheat recipe goes back to 1849. The nose is clearly sweet. On the palate there is strong caramel and vanilla with noticeable warmth, and the finish ends dry.
