Rebel Yell 10 Year is a single barrel wheated Kentucky straight bourbon, aged ten years and bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is produced by Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown. The mashbill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, and the whiskey matured in charred new American oak.
The nose opens with vanilla, then dark fruit, caramel and toffee, with citrus and toasted oak following. The palate is sweet with caramel and crème brûlée, then juicy dark fruit and a thread of orange. The finish is velvety and lingering, with aged oak, baking spice and a faint echo of citrus.
