Remus Single Barrel 2023 is a straight bourbon from the Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It comes from a single selected barrel and was bottled at cask strength, 56.6% ABV, after five years of maturation. The mash bill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. The nose offers soft wood, cherry and vanilla alongside maple syrup, caramel, peanut butter and spice. The palate repeats those notes, with a powerful body and well-integrated alcohol.
