Rowan's Creek Small Batch (70cl, 50%)

Rowan's Creek is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon, distilled, matured and bottled by Willett in Bardstown. The mash bill is 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% malted barley, and the spirit goes into new charred oak at 125 proof (62.5%). It is bottled at 50.05%, or 100.1 proof, in a 70cl bottle. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. The nose combines caramel and vanilla with herbs and blossom, plus a light note of ripe fruit. The palate starts oily, then turns drier, with sweet caramel and vanilla alongside floral notes. The finish is warm and medium to long, leaving oak and spice.
