Russell's Reserve Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, bottled at 55% ABV (110 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is the one bourbon from the distillery that does not carry the Wild Turkey name, created by master distillers Jimmy and Eddie Russell.
Each bottling comes from a single barrel of alligator charred American white oak.
The nose combines ripe dark fruit, caramel and vanilla with a hint of spice and oak. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with honey and molasses alongside oak and spice. The finish is long, with lingering sweetness and a touch of heat.
