Smoke Wagon Small Batch Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

A high-rye bourbon from Nevada H&C Distilling Company of Las Vegas, bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle without chill filtration. It blends whiskeys of 4, 5 and 8 years old, distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, from a mashbill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley. It won Gold Medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2016, 2017 and 2019. Apricot, cinnamon candy, orange peel and red apple show on the nose, with toasted oak. The palate is creamy with caramel and vanilla, then baking spice, ginger and white pepper. The finish is long and dry, with oak tannins and lingering rye spice.
