Stranahan's Sherry Cask is an American whiskey made from 100% malted barley and distilled twice. It is sold in a 75cl bottle.
It spent 4 years in virgin American white oak barrels before moving to Oloroso sherry barrels from southern Spain for a cask finish.
The nose is of over-ripe cherry, sweet apples, raisins, almonds, leather and fresh-cut hay. On the palate come honey, Montmorency cherries, blackcurrant and fig, with a nutty, briny edge and walnut.
