Suntory 21 Light & Smooth is a Japanese blended whisky launched in 1984 and discontinued by the late 1980s. Classified as Tokkyu, or Special Class, under the Japanese system of the time, it was developed for a lighter style of drinking, particularly over ice or with soda.
Pale in colour and light in body, it has aromas of green apple, nuts and vanilla, with a noticeable alcoholic edge when neat. A dry opening gives way to sweetness, followed by a light finish with smoky undertones.
