The Glenlivet – 18 Year Old Single Malt (70cl)

The Glenlivet 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. The distillery draws its water from Josie's Well. The whisky spent eighteen years in a mix of first-fill and second-fill American oak, which had held bourbon, and ex-sherry casks. The American oak brings vanilla and tropical fruit, while the sherry casks add richness, dried fruit and spice. The nose offers pear, orange zest, light floral notes and sweet oak spice. On the palate come dried apricots and sultanas, then toffee, cinnamon and a little nuttiness. The finish is long and warm, ending dry.
