This is a 14 year old single malt from The Single Cask, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2021 as a Special Edition 2022. It comes from cask number 20 at 65.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The cask was a first-fill PX octave finish, and the outturn is 79 bottles.
The nose is industrial and medicinal, with ash, brine, tar and coal smoke, plus camphor, menthol and heather. The palate is oily and maritime, with dried fruits, persimmon, plums, cured pineapple and mushroom, and velvety smoke. The finish is long, with salt and cured fruit.
