The Tyrconnell is an Irish single malt from Cooley Distillery, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its name comes from the racehorse Tyrconnell, which made history in 1876.
It is double distilled, which is unusual in Ireland, and matured only in ex-bourbon casks.
On the nose there is fresh citrus, green apple, honey and light malt. The palate is smooth and balanced, with vanilla, biscuit, citrus peel and a little spice. The finish is medium to long, fresh and elegant.
