Togouchi 12 Years (70cl, 40%)

Togouchi 12 Years is a Japanese blended whisky, made from 40 per cent Scottish malt and 60 per cent Canadian grain whisky. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matures in ex-sherry and ex-brandy casks, which are kept in a disused railway tunnel. The nose is gentle and fruity, with cinnamon, pear, lemon and a touch of smoke. On the palate it is fresh, with dry peat and salty accents. The finish is soft, lightly mineral and ends on a smoky note.
