Tokinoka Black Sherry Finish (50%)

Tokinoka Black Sherry Finish is a Japanese blended whisky bottled at 50%, made at the White Oak distillery in Akashi, near Kobe. White Oak received its licence to produce and sell whisky in 1919, and this bottling marks that anniversary. The blend is half malt and half grain whisky. It was matured in ex-oloroso sherry casks, ex-bourbon casks and new oak, then finished for six months in sherry casks. The nose is intense, fruity, woody and toasted. The palate is full and round, with woody and fruity notes, and the finish is soft, long and vanilla-led.
