Tyrconnell 10 Year Old is an Irish single malt from the Cooley Distillery. It matured in American oak and was then finished in Madeira casks, which adds a fruity note. It is bottled at 46% in a tube.
The nose offers raisins, apricots and soft vanilla, with a touch of honey and oak spice. The palate is velvety and full-bodied, with sweet fruit, restrained wood and a fine maltiness. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit and a slightly nutty tone.
