Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Sherry Finish (70cl, 46%)

Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Sherry Finish is a double-distilled Irish single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for ten years in bourbon barrels, then spent a further six to eight months in Oloroso sherry casks from Spain. The second maturation deepens the colour and brings pronounced sherry notes, with hints of caramelised apple pie and custard. Honey, citrus fruit and fine nutty tones sit alongside them, and the whisky is soft, creamy and full-bodied. The nose shows light, fruity sherry sweetness, malted barley and restrained oak. The palate brings dried apricots, vanilla and caramel, and the finish keeps the fruity sherry notes with spicy oak.
