Tyrconnell is a single malt Irish whiskey, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The brand was the flagship of the Watts distillery, which dates back to 1762, and takes its name from a racehorse owned by the Watt family. It is now kept alive by the Cooley Distillery.
The colour is gold with a pale straw hue. The nose is plush, with creme caramel, ripe malt and spice. The palate is soft and round, with sweet dried fruits, cinnamon and clove. The finish is fairly short, then drying, with vanilla wafer biscuit, caramel and honeycomb.
